helix – PO pipe dies suitable for a wide processing window
Dies made-to-measure to meet a great variety of customer demandsWith its helix pipe die series, battenfeld-cincinnati offers its customers a choice of different, custom-made PO pipe dies that can be selected and adapted even for highly complex applications. For instance, for processing a wide range of materials with a high output, the two-step distributor concept of VSI dies is recommended. To process melt with fiber content, a spiral mandrel distributor is advantageous. The optimal solutions for processing materials requiring short dwell times, such as EVOH or PEX-b, are side-fed or spider-type mandrel distributors.
We also make custom products, such as modified VSI dies for 4-layer applications, or 7-layer dies with 4 color stripes to produce PP pipes with fibreglass content and an EVOH layer, or multi-layer dies for processing materials requiring short dwell times such as PEX-b. It is also possible to have a multi-layer die equipped with different distributor concepts according to the requirements for the individual layers.
